Driving directions
From the North
Take Rte. 95 (128) South to Exit 19B (Highland Ave.). Follow Highland Ave. 1.7 miles to a light, bear right (do not turn right). Go 0.2 miles to Great Plain Ave., turn right at the light. Continue 0.3 miles to Marked Tree Road on the left; turn left. 106 Marked Tree Road is a light brown colonial with white shutters about 0.3 miles down on the left.

From the South
Take Rte. 95 (128) North to Exit 17 (Rte. 135, Needham). Turn right off the exit ramp and go about 2 miles to a traffic light in Needham center. Turn left onto Great Plain Ave. (still Rte. 135). After passing a Mobil Station on your right, look for Marked Tree Road on your left; turn left. 106 Marked Tree Road is a light brown colonial with white shutters about 0.3 miles down on the left.

Site with relatively shallow water.  Good for all ability levels.

From Boston take I-95 S to exit 9/Rt.4 S (left side exit), Rte. 4 will merge into Rte. 1S, go past signs for Ninigret Park, another 5 or 6 miles, make U-turn at the sign for East Beach Rd/ West Beach Rd, go past West Beach Rd, turn R onto East Beach Rd. and follow to the end, continue past first parking lot down dirt Rd to second lot by the pond.

From 128 take Rte. 24 S to Tiverton, RI; exit at Rte. 77 S. Go 6.5 miles, turn R onto Pond Brook Road. At end turn L, then R onto Fogland Point Road. Beach entrance is 1/4 mile on the R. Proceed to the end of the road to find windsurfing site.

We will stay at the Lighthouse Inn located on the water adjacent to the public beach. Professional instructor, Petra Kanz, will teach to all ability levels. Non-sailing spouses, friends, children are welcome to come along to enjoy the beach, the Inn, and the Cape. The per person charges for the Inn (which includes two nights lodging, full hot/cold breakfast buffet on Sat. and Sun. mornings, plus dinner on Sat. night) are as follows: Single occupancy - $250; Double occupancy - $212; Triple occupancy - $188; Quad occupancy - $172. There is an additional charge of $45 per each windsurfing participant. Check in is 3:00 pm on Friday. Check out is 11:00 am on Sunday, but we can use the hotel facilities, including showers, for the rest of the day.

(1) Lighthouse Inn Registration Form: Complete and mail to the Lighthouse Inn, Post Office Box 128, 1 Lighthouse Inn Road, West Dennis, MA 02670 with the required deposit BY AUGUST 15. You must use this form to make your reservation at the Inn or you will not get the reduced group rate and you will not be included in the headcount for dinner on Saturday night. You must be a guest at the Lighthouse Inn to participate in this trip. NO exceptions (sorry).

(2) AMC Registration Form: Complete and mail to Russ Keene, 66 Beechwood Ave., Sudbury, MA 01776 by August 15 with a check for $45 per windsurfing participant.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: You must bring your own equipment, including a wetsuit or drysuit. If you rent, borrow, or will be using new equipment, PLEASE rig everything before the trip so you are sure you have all the necessary components, that they are all compatible with one another, and that you know how it all goes together. This includes making sure that the rig and board can successfully be attached to one another! If you rent, make the shop show you how to rig and verify all component compatibility before you leave the shop. If you borrow, make the owner show you. We have had many problems with participants discovering during the trip that they are missing parts or that the parts they have do not fit together, even when they rent from reputable shops (or when they borrow from good friends).
