Cannon Double Summit on 9/11 Repeat (B2A)!
Hiking/Backpacking Date: Sun September 11, 2011
This is the repeat of last years uber successful double summit of Cannon Mountain. Meet at Cannon Tram parking, drop a couple of cars, head to Lafayette Campground parking and Lonesome Lake Trailhead. Hike to the summit, enjoy the raising of the 9-11 flag(s) at noon while we snack and take a 30 minute break. Head down Kinsman Ridge trail. Quick break at the bottom then it's up to the top AGAIN via the Kinsman Ridge Trail to enjoy a snack and beverage (or two) on the deck at the top's snack BAR (bring cash if you are able and wish to partake in cocktails, 21+)! Tram ride down back to the parking lot (each person responsible for own Tram ticket). Swim to follow in Echo Lake to cool off. Experienced hikers only. Registration Required. No dogs (sorry).
