AMC Trails Day Saturday, September 8, 2007 - 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM DCR Middlesex Fells Reservation, Stoneham/Malden/Melrose/Medford/Winchester We will be working on the Skyline Trail, a 7-mile loop trail around the Winchester Reservoirs. Project work will be to build rock steps and drainages in an eroded section of the trail that goes through a ravine. Rain or shine. Bring boots, gloves, water, lunch and enthusiasm! Tools provided. Example of rock steps Saturday, October 13, 2007 - 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM Moose Hill Wildlife Reservation, Sharon Help improve trail conditions at Moose Hill, the oldest and one of the largest Mass Audubon sanctuaries with over 2,000 acres and 25 miles of trails. We will work on clearing brush and blowdowns on the Bay Circuit Trail and Warner Trail. Rain or shine. Bring boots, gloves, water and enthusiasm! Tools provided. No experience necessary. The AMC Trail Partners is a project of the Boston Chapter Trails Committee and works in partnership with the DCR, the Bay Circuit Alliance and the National Park Service, for example, to maintain local parks, trails and conservation land.
