Social events are times for members of the skiing community to get together and
talk about the sport that they love. Everyone is welcome, come along and enjoy the
food and good times.

Come join the fun as we kick off the ski season! BYOB and a dish to
share and join your fellow skiers as we celebrate the fact that ski
season is just around the corner. Bring maps, books, gear catalogs to
plan for trips and equipment purchases.
Thu., Jan. 11. Ice Skating Social in Cambridge
The first 2007 AMC Boston Ski Committee has become an Ice Skating Social tomorrow Thursday, January 11 at Kendall Square Community Skating, Cambridge. (Directions below.)
All are welcome. Because of the change in activity/venue*, please reply directly to me if you plan to come -- even if you responded before -- by Thursday noon.
We will meet between 6 and 6:30 pm. Meet at the benches in front of the lockers. We will skate until 8 pm, then head next door to Aceituna Café, a cafeteria-style Mediterranean experience.
Skating: $3.
Skate rentals: $5.25
Parking: $1 per hour (with validation).
Kendall Square Community Skating is a brand-new outdoor ice skating rink (opened Dec 7) managed by Charles River Recreation, owners of the Weston Ski Track and Charles River Canoe & Kayak.

*The Ski Track has been making snow but will not have a grooved ski track. Also they expect a large group of skate skiers to show up tomorrow for training -- the first day this week they will be open. It seemed better to go to Plan C.

Thu., Mar. 8. XC Ski social at Weston
Join your fellow XC skiers on Thursday, March 8, for the last AMC ski
social of the year at Weston Ski Track, followed by warming up with a bit of food and drink
somewhere nearby. What better way to celebrate the ski season that was and meet
some fun fellow skiers in the process! Register with L Eli Meir.
Downhill Skiing Socials at Wachusett
Want a chance to meet other Boston-area skiers? Can't wait until the weekend
to get in some skiing? Join other like-minded skiers for a fun evening of
skiing and socializing. Save the evenings of Jan. 25, Feb.22, and March 22
