The INTRO Committee provides opportunities to participate in a variety of outdoor activities from beginner  (INTROductory) level up to intermediate level. We also accommodate members with disabilities. ASL = signer available on trip, WA = wheel chair accessible, B = suitable for participants with sight impairment. We do not offer activities that require advanced skill levels.

Wed. Oct. 11 - Intro Trip Planning Wine Tasting Evening!
For all of you leaders and co-leaders, now is the time to plan your winter and spring trips. Fri. - Sun., Oct. 13 - 15, (INTRO) Fall Foliage at its best! On Sat., hike Welch and Dickey Mtns. (4.4 mi. loop, 1674 ft. gain), one of the most popular hikes in the White Mtns. A moderate hike at an easy pace with time to take photos or sit at summit for the colorful views. Sun. - easy hike to Peaked Hill Pond (under four miles).  Stay at Pembrook Lodge (LOF) in Woodstock, NH. $115 covers lodging, 2 brkfsts, & Sat. dinner. Bus down Friday morning from Boston and spend Fri/Sat/Sun hitting the town. Moderate walking pace as we take in latest exhibits at Met, MoMA, and/or Guggenheim, galleries, & a Broadway play. Sat., Nov. 18, Mt. Monadnock Day Hike (INTRO), Summit Mt. Monadnock via the Red Spot trail. Short but strenuous hike of approximately 6 miles. Spectacular views. Be prepared for cold and windy conditions above tree line. Must have previous hiking experience and be in good physical condition. Après-hike in Peterborough. Thurs. - Sun., Nov 23 - 26, Thanksgiving Weekend in Conway Village NH. Another great weekend, this time at the Conway Hostel in the White Mountain Valley. Trip starts Thursday evening for a Potluck Thanksgiving or come later after your obligations.
